LHS is a consulting engineering firm with over 65 years of experience. We maintain suitable insurance coverage for General Liability, Errors and Omissions, and WSIB. Our personnel are practised at adhering to all client site-specific requirements affecting health, safety and the environment, and are current in WHMIS, fall protection, confined space access, and lock-outs.

Our primary areas of expertise are industrial building facilities, material handling and machine design. Recent design projects include buildings, process and test equipment, hoisting equipment, platforms and mezzanines, roof-top solar PV arrays, piping, retaining walls and other site structures and process equipment. As related services we offer building permit assistance, tendering, and construction management.

With our present staff we offer civil, structural and mechanical engineering, drafting, detailing, building code review, piping design, and machine design skills.

We often partner with contractors for turn key projects and when applicable, we increase staff in other engineering disciplines, or we work with partner consultants to offer specialized services - architectural, Building Condition Assessments, specialized process, controls and automation, and environmental. This arrangement ensures strong expertise at competitive rates.
